This policy explains what personal data we collect through aryaas.restaurant and what happens to it. We collect as little as we can.
What we collect
When you email us. We receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you write. We use it to reply and to act on corrections.
Server logs. Our web server records requests, including IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time. This is standard operation and is used for security and for diagnosing faults.
Analytics. Where analytics are used, they are configured to measure traffic in aggregate rather than to build profiles of individuals.
Advertising and embedded content. Third-party advertising or embedded media may collect data under their own policies, which we do not control. See our cookie policy.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data. We do not run a newsletter that adds you without asking. The contact form on this site opens your own email client rather than submitting data to us, so nothing is stored on our servers unless you actually send the message.
Legal basis
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests for server logs and aggregate analytics, and on your consent for non-essential cookies. Replying to your email relies on legitimate interests, or on taking steps at your request.
How long we keep it
Email correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful for handling the matter and any follow-up, and is then deleted. Server logs are retained for a short period for security and diagnostics. Aggregate analytics contain no identifying information.
Who it is shared with
Our hosting provider processes data on our behalf as part of serving the site. Third-party advertising and analytics providers, where used, act under their own policies. We do not otherwise share personal data, except where we are legally required to.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, write to us through the contact page and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version appears here with a new date.
